6/20/2023 0 Comments Syncios samsung transfer review![]() ![]() Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series of devices have been doing really well in the past few years. Redmi Note 6 Pro problems and how to fix them Unlike in other markets, in India, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available in two variants.- the base model with 4GB RAM/64GB storage, while the second model, which will be more expensive, packs 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. In India, we expect the price of the Redmi Note 6 Pro to be between Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000 for the base model. The Note 5 Pro was launched in India with a starting price of Rs 14,999, but now, after the recent price drop, the phone is available for Rs 13,999. ![]() Xiaomi is yet to reveal the official India price of the Redmi Note 6 Pro, but going by the company’s track record, we expect the phone to be priced around Rs 16,000 or Rs 17000. The battery of the Redmi Note 6 Pro can go on easily for about one day on a single charge, but if you aren’t a social media addict or a movie buff who watches a lot of videos on the phone, the Redmi phone could easily go on for about one and a half days. ![]() The upcoming Redmi phone packs a 4000mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support. Improved battery lifeĪlthough the battery inside the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the same that dues duty in the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi seems to have improved its performance. Not that you should expect such performance from a phone like the Note 6 Pro that is expected to cost under Rs 20,000. The navigation gestures, a feature that is mostly seen on more expensive phones, work fine, but they aren’t as smooth and easy to use as on an ultra premium phone like the OnePlus 6T or an iPhone X. The MIUI 10 brings a range of new features like navigation gestures, new recent menu tabs, picture-in-picture mode, Android P-like volume slider, and notification shade, AI features, among other things to the Redmi phone. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first Xiaomi phone in India to come with MIUI 10-based on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. Keeping the brightness level of the phone between 50 to 60 per cent works just about fine for me. ![]() It is bright enough to watch a movie on Amazon Prime or Netflix movie or YouTube, and play a visually heavy game like Temple Run 2 outdoors. The display in the Redmi Note 6 Pro is brighter compared to what Xiaomi put in the Note 5 Pro. There is an option to hide the notch by changing the display settings, which is nice for not everyone likes notch on their phone screen. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is also the first Note series phone from Xiaomi to come with a notched display and sports narrower bezels. The best part, though, is despite a larger screen the phone retains similar size and dimensions. The display of the Redmi Note 6 Pro is bigger than the one in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. In simple words: the Redmi Note 6 Pro screen is a polished version of what you get in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The pictures clicked in low-light with the Redmi Note 6 Pro are also pretty great and come with a decent amount of details and colours. The Redmi Note 6 Pro captures good bokeh (portrait) shots with both front and back camera with sharp edges most of the time. Looks like these are the two areas that Xiaomi has worked in the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is a fairly good shooter, but portrait shots and low-light photography are two areas where it can be better. On the front, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a main camera that uses 20-megapixel sensor while the secondary camera sports a 2-megapixel sensor for portrait selfies. The main camera of the phone supports dual-pixel autofocus feature which helps the phone FOCUS quickly on the subject, particularly in low light. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a primary sensor of 12MP and a 5MP secondary sensor for depth sensing, which helps in those portrait photos with creamy and blurred background, on the rear panel. Basically, the cameras of the Redmi phone get the reds and greens right, almost all the time. Both the front as well as the rear cameras of the Note 6 Pro are capable of clicking impressive pictures, which have a good amount of details and spot-on colours. Four camerasĪs I noted in the quick review of the phone, I absolutely love the photos the Redmi 6 Pro cameras click. The Redmi Note 6 Pro will go on flash sale for the first time in India on November 23 via Mi.com and Flipkart and I give you five reasons why you should five days for this phone. And as Xiaomi claims, the four-camera setup.- two on the rear and two selfie cams.- is one of the highlights of the phone.Īt the same time, it is also true that overall the Redmi Note 6 Pro isn’t a major upgrade over the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but there are some areas where Xiaomi has made an extra effort, including in the display, battery performance, and software of the phone. Over here at the India Today Tech, I have been using the Redmi Note 6 Pro for the last few days. ![]()
